Default Moser 9" conversion, couple of suspension questions....

I recieved and installed my Moser 9 yesteday, thanks bob!!

First off, the housing and axles are VERY nice pieces, the housing is much sturdier than a ford housing, and their welds are imaculate.

Things I learned:
1: If you got sway bar drop brackets, you will need 4 bolts to attach you mounts to the axle.
2: Take the parking brakes off the backing plates, it will make everything much easier.
3: Have someone help you, second hands make everything easier
4: Don't punch the undercarriage when you're pissed....Your hand will hurt the next day....

Pictures, no "during" pics I was kinda busy...

Here are my questions, I don't like the way the torque arm shackle sits, It used to be up and down. Obviously it now has been pushed forwards, I know adjusting my pinion angle will bring it down but probaly not enough.

Am I even in the right holes?

Should I drop the control arms down 1 hole? Or are they good where they are at?

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Get the pinion angle adjusted with the weight on the rear tires, and the torque arm should be back at where it was before.

Move to the other set of holes in your torque arm bracket, the two that you used before.

I would use the lowest set of holes in the lower control arm relocation brackets. Bob

I'll try that, but I thought the controls were supposed to be parrallelte ground? If it's on the lowest spot it appears to too low.

You are correct, usually it ends up being the lowest hole. You might experiment to see which one gives you the best traction. Bob

I installed them into the lowest hole, and the rear was considerably lower than the front. They're now in the 3rd hole and are perfectly level.

I set the pinion angle best I could at home, I'm going to get it set a -3 tomorrow at work. But the shackle is still set forward. I was going to move the torque arm, but it apears that if I shift it over it will contact the body even worse than it already is? I read that sometimes it requires clearance, but if my eyeballing is correct it will be a very large area
