Default 4 channel wheel speed sensor same frequency as 3channel?

Ive done a search on this. I know there is way suggest to do this the "right" way but....

I have a 4 channel rear in a 3 channel car. Is it possible to use just one sensor on either side of the axle and have the ecbm think that the signal is coming from a 3channel rearend? Ie what im asking is, is the frequency or voltage put out by a 4 channel wheel speed sensor the same as that of a 3 channel sensor mounted in the pumpkin?

Sorry if this is beating a dead horse but I can't seem to find an answer?

4 channel 'reluctor ring' on axle has 47 'teeth',3 channel 'reluctor ring' on carrier has 106 'teeth'.
