Default 8.8 question?

okay i tried a search but im not finding anything so sorry if it is a dumb question, if you do a minitub will an 8.8 fit without cutting the ten bolt tubes and welding them in? like can an 8.8 fit with just a minitub and no fabrication of the axle tubes?
thanks

Youre still going to need spring mounts and LCA brackets on the axle tubes

How wide is the 8.8 compared to the 10 bolt. I was thinking of picking one of these up out of an exploder. Cheap and they seam tougher than the 10 bolt.

I believe the 8.8 is 4" shorter than the 10 bolt.

I think he is referring to using the stock 10 bolt tubes with out having to have them fabbed onto the 8.8 ones

So to answer your question, yes you can probably do that because the mini will give you the cut section back

but why go thru all that for an 8.8?

thanks for the info guys, and im thinking about going the minitub/8.8 route cause that'll be cheaper than a 12bolt/9" and will still be able to run 9.xx's
