Default What rear is in 2011 Camaro

...I'm considering buying a new Camaro and it is advertised as an independent (non-solid axle) rear end.

Since the last generation Camaros came with the dreaded puny 10 bolt, I was wondering if they beefed up this component for the new car?

Thx...

...tell me this is not a small 7" 10-bolt rear that is prone to breaking like a rag doll - OK?

It's getrag unit i believe. im not positive, but i think it is. It is definitely not a small 10 bolt..

Should be the same getrag that is in the caddy

I would think the v8 cars have a better one than the 4th gens seeing how their rated 115 hp more and the slp cars are pushing close to 600 advertised hp.

Plus under warranty I would think they would fix it if you have a good dealer there

Ok then they changed it, the camaro seemed to be sharing a lot of the caddy stuff, driveshafts and carriages and stuff.

Did they put a single bushing like the cad or double front bushing on the diff?

The caddy guys may be interested in the AAM version over the getrag

It is similar or exactly like that of the XLR, and being that caddy was sharing back and fourth with the cts, it would lead one to think that the camaro and XLR might have been sharing everything also.
