Default Will gear swaps....

Throw your actual mileage off on your odometer if the computer is not corrected? If so by how much? I swapped from 3.23s to 3.73s when I bought the car in 2005. It had 78k and now i just broke 150k even. The computer was not adjusted for the gear swap until the odometer read 148k. What should my actual mileage be?

just a guess... you went up about 15.5% on your gear for 70k miles... 70000 x 0.155= approx 10850... so 78000 + (70000-10850) = 78000 +( 59150 ) = 137150 plus the 2k you drove it while properly calibrated = 139150 miles... this is approximate since you actually dropped your gear ratio by about 15.48% i used 15.5% to avoid all the extra numbers... i think this is right but this is assuming you have not changed anything in the tranny and you have the factory rolling diameter tires... you can put on larger rims but go with lower profile tires and be just fine.. so assuming you dont have 20s, this should give you an idea of what your mileage actually it.. keep in mind your motor had to turn more rpm's to get this mileage so technically the body has less but the motor has more... I THINK???
