Default How important orientation of the paddle(thrust block) int the differential

This past weekend I have put my rear axle back together and drove it some. What I am not sure is which way I have put the paddle back in. This has been bothering me for a while and now I found a link( see below)

I really don't want to take it all apart again unless it is really critical. Can some experienced people say something. DO I need to go back and check the orientation?

http://www.torsen.com/files/Installa...20GM%207.6.pdf step 9, I am not sure if when I assembled the channels looked down as in the picture or up :-(

After I reassembled everything I now get an occasional clank when driving on a right turn highway ramps. The sound is not cyclic and only happens 0-1 times during a turn. Can this be caused by an incorrect thrust block orientation?

going back is going to suck... collecting all the new oil and refilling it.

Default Now I am looking for correct tolerances

For now I have found my answer here

https://ls1tech.com/forums/gears-axl...k-0n-99-a.html

The question still remains, why do I get a clunk during right turns which was not known to me before rebuild.

Another thing I remember is that thrust block went in with no effort on my part when in fact http://www.torsen.com/files/Installa...20GM%207.6.pdf says that install unusually is a tight one. My car is a B4C so it had a lot of abuse :-( I am wondering if any one knows:

What the clearance of the thrust block to side differential gear should be?
What is the normal longitudinal play for axles shafts is allowed?
(it's time for me to by factory manual)

I think that above things can help me diagnose this rear end further.
