Default Replacing Wheel Studs

I just got some weld prostars, and I'm trying to install my new longer ARP wheel studs. It looks like there is no way to thread the new studs with out taking the axels out. Is this true? Is there a simpler way to do this? Suggestions or pictures anyone?

Do you have an S60 or stock 10 bolt? I'm lookin at your sig...either way, yes axles have to come off to change wheel studs.

I'm surprised, your S60 should've already came with at least 1/2"x3" wheel studs.

S60 comes with stock metric wheel studs. Really sucks to change if you still have abs.

axles do not have to come out on a 10 bolt or 9 inch. its easy if you have 4 channel abs, just remove wheel sensor & remove & reinstall wheel stud. i've installed 3.25" ARP studs on several cars this way. my current car was 3 channel, so i just drilled out the backing plate where the wheel sensors would go & installed studs that way also. it's not really that tricky
