the 3.23 are some of the strongest/thickest gears GM makes, will last longer than 3.73 or 4.10. Converter will make a huge difference, gears may make a tenth or so (3.23 to 3.73). Save the $$ and put it toward the converter...get a stud kit and preload girdle for the 10 bolt and use synthetic lube.
