Question replacing Dana S60 pinion seal :(

Im looking for some insight into replacing the pinion seal on my S60. I just got the car out of storage and the pig is leaking pretty bad.

Ive heard if you mark the pinion and the nut, you can just tighten it back down until the marks line up and you are good to go. Thoughts on this? I dont want to have to set up the whole rear end with the crush sleeve and all that jazz for just a stupid seal.

Also, anyone got the chrysler part number for this seal?

Any advice appreciated!

Shouldn't be a crush collar on the 60, should be 250/270 ft lbs

Really? Why do you say that? is it a friction fit type of nut?

Got the new seal in. Other than the fact that the spohn torque arm, the drive shaft safety loop, and other aftermarket crap made it a pain in the butt, I got it done relatively easily. New seal and nut, torqued to 250 ft/lbs. We shall see how it holds up to the abuse.
