Default Painting Stock rear end

I want to use rustoleum, What types of paints should I use? Several coats?, or does it just need one?

I've heard good things about the POR-15, but haven't used it myself. I used the Eastwood chassis black (http://www.eastwoodco.com/itemdy00.a...1.x=26&I1.y=67) and its worked nicely. I think I put on about 3 coats.
