Default Axle saver bearing issue!

Has anyone ever used axle saver bearings before? I have them in my car now and they are leaking again. I went to change them the other day again and now because they are offset I cant get the axle in enough to pull out the c-clip to remove the axle? Does anybody know of a trick to get them in enough to get to the c-clip. It is barely hanging up by maybe a millimeter or so. I was told by someone to get a big *** sledge hammer and hit it till the bearing crushes enough to get the clip out but I would rather not do that. This is a 10 bolt by the way. I guess thats a last resort type thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I ahve seen a lot of people try the axle savers and they will not work in a 10 bolt. Just find some used axles, install new GM bearing and seals.

Thanks for the help guys. I have been looking for some used ones but have not come across any of them. Plus I cant get the axle out becuase of the bearings that are in there now. They wont let the axles slide in enought to get the c clips off.
