Default 9 bolt borg warner rearend ???

i have a chance to buy 1 of these rears. it has a 7.75" ring gear and 4 spyder gears instead of 2 like the normal 10 bolt.

would you guys do it or not?
any info would be greatly appreciated.

I would say no, thats a rear end out of a Thirdgen F-Body, the parts are really expensive, they are not that strong, I would say they are as good as your 10Bolt is. just my opinion.

No way. They're no stronger than a 10-bolt, and the gears are expen$ive (like $350/set for gears - vs $170/set for 10-bolt). Only reason a lot of third gen guys liked 'em was because they came with disc brakes (back in the day when drums were common).

Besides, they're the wrong width to work with the fourth gen offset wheels.
