2 person job,1 in the car on the brakes with tranny in neutral, the other turning (counterclockwise as viewed from rear of car) driveshaft by hand. Not much rotation will be needed by driveshaft. Turn Slightly and check.
NO,do not attempt as a 1 person job by starting engine, holding brakes, and putting in reverse gear,NO.

Why would a large diameter prying tool not work? Seems you can just persuade it.

Well we were doing an axle swap because I had a bent axle on the passenger side, so alls we literatly did was take the shaft out to get the C clip out so we coud remove the axle, after that we didnt touch it. We removed the wheel bearing and seal and replaced them and we were going to put the axle back in and be done but this is complicating everything.... the only thing i coud think of that could have made this happen was when we were turning the wheel(car in neutral) without the shaft in to get to the c clip. The auto teacher at my school says i should get a gun and end my life now lol, but there has to be a way.

The spider gears are a tooth or two off. Make sure the thrust washer is on them. At least that's what it looks like to me.
