Thanks for the info. On a side note; does anyone know where I can find 3rd gen axle tubes for cheap? I'm going to need to source out an 8.8 out of an explorer and if I want the 3" narrowed rear end, I'll need to find 3rd gen axle tubes instead of using the axle tubes off my 10 bolt. Any ideas?

Leedogg know its old but do you think a 325 would of still fit under without sticking out? Your setup is exactly what im doing now but get worried the tire will stick out. dont want it tucked to far either. Worse case i run a 295.. awesome setups guys

This guy remembers and pays attention well.
The only way you can go narrower than -3.5 per side is by narrowing the LCA brackets plus running race brakes, we can then get you -5 to -5.5 per side depending on housing ends. Keep in mind when narrowing your rear end to chose your wheels first because some manufactures do 4"BS, 5"BS, and so on were others will go 4.5"BS, or 5.5"BS. Then there are manufactures that will do what ever you want.

4.5" on each side. Full size LCA brackets. Race brakes, dual caliper. Stock wheel well's with BFH mod and the bump cut out. Didn't even have to roll the fender lip. No E-brakes. Cut coil on stock srpings.
Aluma stars with 3" of BS. On an ET street. 12.5(really a 10.5) x 28:
Buddies Green car with pretty much same setup:

May 22nd, 23rd, 24th. 22nd is Friday night and it's pretty much a dyno meet/car gathering, which will probably entail some racing. 23rd is a car show and roll racing at Gateway, and I'm sure some night time activities south of the border. 24th is the track event at Gateway. 2 different heads up classes. You will fair well if you have the nitrous setup done. Both classes are unlimited, so huge single turbo and twin turbo cars have a big advantage.
