Default How far does the slip yoke need to go in the trans?

Just put a th350 in my car and it seems the DS fits but does not slide into the trans as far as it used to once you tighten the rear u-bolts. The old yoke seal on the T56 did stick out farther so im sure the visual is a bit off.
Anyways how far does it need to slide into the trans to be safe?
Thanks
Mike

Bottom the slip yoke out in the transmission and then pull it back 3/4" to 1". If you have to pull it back any more than that to bolt to the pinion yoke you probably need to get the driveshaft lengthened.

Ill measure tonight but looks about that. Just strange looking without the factory seal that came out of the T56.
