Have any of you tried removing the sleeve on the pinion yoke? My 02 firebird pinion seal is leaking and the yoke is grooved from the seal. I want to remove the sleeve on the yoke and use the older style seal. I'm thinking if I heat the sleeve with a propane torch maybe it will slide off easily?
