Default 8 axle bolts (9 inch)

I have a Moser 9 inch housing, during the rebuild I seem to have misplaced some of the 8 "T" bolts that hold the backing plate and axle in. i have searched and searched local hardware stores and local backwoods hardware dealers who seem to have everything but what you need, to no avail...if anyone knows where i can get 8 new ones that would be great.

I can post pics if neccessary.

Call someone that deals with these things regularly...Midwest Chassis comes to mind as does Burkhart. I know what kind of bolts you are looking for since my Strange 12-bolt has the exact same ones, but I have no idea where you could source them easily. Mark Williams appears to carry them, but they aren't a sponsor.

Edit: Summit Racing also appears to carry them. I searched under "backing plate bolts".

The 8 T bolts I got from MWC were just some fine thread 3/8 bolts with the heads ground down to a T shape. I dont recall the length but I know they are 3/8 cuz I used a 9/16 wrench.

the tbolts that came with my moser an eternity ago were too short for comfort to allow proper thread engagement with lockwashers and the nuts. i just got some longer bolts and ground and edge of the head flat and it has worked for the past 5+ years

I used the Ford Racing Part # M-4002-B
They are t bolts with self locking nuts. I used them on my moser 9" and they worked great.

Summit Racing has them.
