Default Replacing rear studs question

ok...

I have a 12 bolt differential and want to run longer studs

#1 did my 12 bolt come w/longer wheel studs? The ones i'm going to go up to are 12mmx1.5 2.5" long (ARP )

#2. do I definetly need to pop the diff cover to remove the axles in order to change the studs? Why is this? Why won't they pop back in w/the axle still in?

Thanks!

If you have 4ch ABS (a sensor out on each wheel as opposed to just one on the center section), you can remove that sensor and use that hole to remove/install one stud at a time with the axles still in place.

It should, the hole should be the same size. On mine, it was a PITA getting them by the ABS reluctor "gear" out on the end of the axle, but I did it. Just an FYI, its not as simple as I made it sound. I ended up taking mine out anyways, but the backing plate and "reluctor gear" stayed on.

What else ya gonna do, just your calipers?
