Cool Trying to identify rear end

Got a rear end from an unknown year trans am, I know it had TCS. I am using it for my firebird's drum to disc brake swap.

In any event, was wondering if somebody could confirm what type of differential this is, as I am looking to sell it and don't know a darn thing about it.

Picture is below, I believe it is a Posi-Rear, it was from an automatic car, so I believe it should be 2.73 gears. Can anybody give me any more information about it, that might help?

Thanks!

I'm guessing the ring gear is around 48 teeth and the pinion is around 14....which is 3.42...
but thats just a guess... you can count for sure...

differential looks Auburn putting it from a 98 or earlier T/A.From the position of the ring gear in relation to the carrier,it looks to be a 2 series, making it a 2.73:1.
Since it had TCS,95 and later.
from a 95-98.

Looks like an Auburn with a 3.23 to me. There should be identifying numbers around the edge of the ring gear or count the teeth.

my guess would be 3.23 if it was from an auto.

Thanks for the help folks! Found the numbers on the edge of the ring gear - 41:15, making it a Auburn with 2.73 Gears from a 97 Trans Am.

Thanks a ton, really appreciate everybodies help.

Last question - are these worth much? Found out car it came from had only 70,000kms.
