As far as product quality, customer service, and warranty you can't go wrong with Moser.

I so many issues with 12 bolt moser.I did search on the topic and many broken moser!!
That's why think 8.8 is an option because it can handle big horsepower with less cost. But i want to buy the best to save many problems with broken things.I know that if i have over 500hp any rear end can break ,that why think 8.8 is less expensive to to fits.
Now i never hear bad thinks of strange rear end but at the same time i not hear much at all about the in f bodies.

I can only comment on my Strange 12 for street driving, but since you asked about street noise.......

Mine is 100% silent, not a peep, moan, squeal, NOTHING, its exactly the same as my stock rear-end was in the noise department. I ahven't raced it at the track but so far its PERFECT.

My Moser 12 Bolt isn't quiet but it hasn't broke ever. Mine makes a high pitch singing noise at 40 and above at times. It works good though, Fred

Take it too the track for a few 1.5 and 1.6 sixty foots and see how it it sounds afterwards. I personally feel the Strange is a better 12 bolt than most Mosers I've heard about but even my friend's properly assembled/properly installed Strange is also as noisey as most Mosers, it is damn strong, but it makes almost unbearable sounds.
That's why I'll probably keep my 10 bolt forever and just go slower.

I have a moser with 33 axles, 3.73 gears, c clip eliminator kit and upgraded eaton posi. It has it's own distinct gear noise at cruise. I have over 80 11 second passes with 1.5-1.6 sixties. The only problem that I had was a leaky axle tube seal that I replaced for 5 dollars. It is a great rearend and I would not hestitate to buy from them again.

Two peas in a pod. Personnally, I run a Moser 12 bolt, but I need to change to a narrowed 9-inch Ford with a spool.

Strange rebuilds a factory GM 12-bolt, wearas Moser uses high stregnth metals and uses larger thicker tubing to construct there rear-ends. The Moser will make a little noise, but it is a far better rear-end in my opinion. The chances of a Strange breaking will be more prone IMO.

Umm.. Not true. The strange is a completely brand new casting and tubes. Where your getting confised is axle tube size.. the strange uses a stock size tube and the moser uses a larger one.

I've seem a fair share of breakage and issues with both. Trick is to purchase either one with all the heavy duty hardware.

I would think the Moser is probably a bit stronger but if you let Moser assemble it then it will make a lot of noise from what I have been told. My Moser was assembled by a local shop and only has a very slight whine at speeds about 65mph but nothing obnoxious; with my radio on normal listening volume you can't hear the whine at all. Most of these performance rear-ends that start out quiet will develope some noise once they are put through some HARD launches on slicks!

As stated above the noise depends on the gear setup and not the rear. My only dislike of the moser is the torque arm attaching bolts but if you keep after them its not a problem. But on the flipside if you are in a hurry you can have a moser to your door in a week where the starnge takes a little time. The Moser center is also a little beefier and so are the axle tubes but the rest of the parts will break way before thsoe two will so they are both plenty strong.

You will read about mosers breaking and you will read about strange rears breaking, the 8.8 is an option but price one out with all the options and its not that much cheaper then a 12 bolt. If you have 3 channel ABS and want to keep it you dont have any choice.

As quite a few people have mentioned the Strange 12 bolts tend to be very quiet and can take quite a bit of abuse. The Super Strength posi is recommended if the car will see some track time. This rear also comes fully assembly and ready to bolt in. We have some detailed info for these in the LS1 Transmission/Gears section of the site. Th

I bought my Strange rear from ^ that guy on a GP. It was plug and play, and a real cinch to bolt up. The Strange is evident of quality, even my dealership mechanic friend who is NEVER impressed, was impressed.

I'll be slapping Nittos on this week, stay tuned for track times.

BTW, so far it is quiet. Some high pitch whine at 70mph in 6th, but nothing significant.
