Axle grease on wheel?

Axle grease on wheel?
I have a Moser 12 bolt that was originally under a ls1 car. I've since had the spacer installed to deal with the lt1 brakes. It seems to me though that I am getting axle bearing gease all over the passenger rear wheel? What can be causing this?

Here is a link to directions showing the spacer:

So if it is the axle seal, what could cause that? Bearings have maybe 3k on them, probably less.

I installed brand new bearings when I put the spacers on, from Moser. Never have been able to remove the bearings without them exploding or having to be cut off. That has been interesting, they really don't want to come off those retention collars.
Any other possibilities? Or its likely I just somehow got a defective seal? That is kind of disappointing when the pair of bearings runs you like $90 shipped or whatever it cost me.
The kick there afterwards is even after springing for new bearings so I could install the spacer, on occassion the driverside still rubs!

X2 on the inner seals on the 9". My bearings are the same style as the ones in the pic the OP has and the plastic seal between the inner and outer races went to hell with about 1000 miles on them, allowing the grease from the bearings to leak out and destroyed the bearings. I picked up a new set at NAPA and had a shop press them on. Havent had any problems with those ones yet but only time will tell.
