He is right except he meant 2002 instead of two 2000s. Auburn diff was an option on SSs though.

The 96 SS that I tore down had the Torsen in it. I know it was an option for that car. The unit was a little different than the one that was in my 99 SS. The 96 Torsen was a little beefier. The body of the unit had more material.

SSs' went to SLP after leaving factory line to get a wide variety of options.

Hard saying with as much as these things blow up. I have an 01 z28 and it had an auburn in it. Someone had been in there a few times before.

I also want to know did the tosen only come in the ss/z28 or did it come in all V8 Camaro's ?

All 99-02 Z28, SS, Formula, T/A, Firehawk. The only exception would be a SS or Firehawk with SLP options (not common).
