I am swapping to a MWC rear end and I have already ordered it to have 4.11 gears, it hasnt been buit yet so im wondering if I went to big.

i did a gear calculator test and showed that I would run out of 4th gear at 120mph at 6600 rpms on 26s. i am pretty sure this car will be capable of more than 120mph quarters and I also know switching into 5th will slow me down.

i could always go with 28 inch tires and see if that will work but im just wondering if 4.11s are ganna be to big for a car with that kind of HP.

this car is also going to be a daily driver. I had a bolt on ls1 in my vette with 4.11s and m6 and loved it but the HP was no where near the same as this car

You need to decide what size tires your gonna run or what size gears first 28" will give a better launch bc of more sidewall but won't handle as well as a lower sidewalk. Go with 26" and do 3.55 or 3.70 gears.

i wont be running 28s on the strees only 26s for the street

You should be able to rev a built motor safely to 7000rpm. Which is 132mph, and the 6600rpm would be 124mph.

With my 412 LS2 I had an M6, 4.11 gears and went 129mph. It only made 511rwp. I went 131 on a 27" tire too.

yeah i know i can rev it to 7k just lose quit a bit of power after 6600, I think I will stick with the 4.11s I liked them in the vette and the g as milage wasnt that bad.

well i actually think im ganna move down to 3.90s will allow me to stay in 4th quit a bit longer and 5th wil ltake me higher as well, I do plan to run the texas mile
