I have a 98 Firebird, with completely worn out wheel studs. They're either broken off, or rusted to the point that a lugnut can't catch. What am I looking at replacing here?
Any write-ups for the job?

The wheel studs are just pressed in. Use a punch and drive them out the backside of the axle hub.

Do you recommend a vender for the wheel studs? I don't need anything fancy it's just for my DD v6 car.

Autozone, oreillys, napa, carquest, summit, or jegs. They are just dorman replacements.

Remove the axles first. Knock out the studs with a BFH, just hit them hard and the'll come right out. Then use an old lug nut to pull the new studs in. Put it on backwards after coating it with grease. Tighten the net and hit the back side of the stud, not real hard while you turn the nut. If you have a press you can press them out and in, but it's not hard to do with a hammer.

Ugh, you don't need to take the axles out on a 10 bolt to change the wheel studs.

+ 1 on this. Pulling the axles will cost you unnecessary money for resealing the cover and lube. There is more than enough room to knock the studs out with the axles installed, and even the GM service manual says to do this job with the axles installed. Remove the wheels, calipers, brackets, rotors, and get the hammer, then install the studs with a large washer and lugnut.
