8.8" pics
Finally got around to get some pics.
http://community.webshots.com/album/125089389AQYiXH
Now, pics 6 thru 9 are with the jack under the rearend and the car lifted off the stands. See the problem? It's the one I posted about that here:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/gears-axles/149462-rearend-install-odd-problem.html
As you can see, the springs sit flush on the pirches. Can anyone see anything that I may have missed that is causing this BS? I have not driven it yet thanks to LS1 Edit crashing and killing my PCM But I bet it rides hard as hell as I can barely bounce the back of the car up and down by hand and body weight. Come on...ideas? Anyone?

If you have the front on jackstands and jack the rear up the springs will barely compress in the rear, you are just pivoting the car on the jackstands and there is no weight back there. If you take the springs out and the rear goes all the way up nothing is binding.
Make sure the springs are all the way in the rubber isolators and the isolators are centeres on the 'hump' on the body there is no reason the car should should sit any different, especially since those are your stock axle tubes..

If it's an 8.8" rearend then yes. I don't know much about fords tho. Best thing to do is go to a junkyard and ask if they have an 8.8" around anywhere. All you need is the housing. You do know these rears are not bolt on right? You have to make the TA mount. There is a guy on here doing a write-up on it. Might look into it if ya want.

IIRC, you simply cut your stock axle tubes off your 10-bolt, weld them up to the 8.8" housing, and use custom length Moser axles. The length of the ford rear is kind of irrelevant...
