Default how did my 4:10s start going in 4months?

I had the gears installed less then 5000 miles ago, after my first set exploded due to my past driving habits They are motive 4:10s. last week I heard a light knocking so I pulled the cover to find a few chips on the ring gear. I do not drive hard or launch the car ever, literally not a single hard shift since the install. How is this possible? Could a piece of the old gears have been stuck in there to cause this to happen?

Did you set the gears up? Did they make any noise before this? What was the BL?

The OEM manufacturer of the gears and entire rear end is AAM, American Axle & Manufacturing. I installed 4.10 AAM gears in my rear 3k miles ago with no noises.

I just had American axle gears installed in my car a couple months ago, they are 4.10 and I have no issues with them. They are oem replacement gears.

Motive gears might have a different setup than gm. Did you compare specs?
