how many miles are you guys getting per tank? with the mods in my sig and barely ever getting on it im only getting about 170 per tank which seems horrible. i checked the plugs, cleaned the maf and iat, checked for vacuum leaks, made sure tires were at right pressure, checked the speedometer with gps and its correct, also checked the o2 sensors and fuel pressure at work all is good. There is a slight shaking about every 3 or 4 seconds when just idling is this normal? It seems like the harmonic balancer has quite a wobble but nothing crazy. Also passenger cat was rattling a couple weeks ago but has recently stopped is it possibly clogged. I've only had the car a few weeks and cannot figure out the problem. I'm putting on headers and ory on sunday so maybe that will help some flow. I'm just looking for some other things to check car has 61,000 miles and had tune up at 60,000 with good plugs and wires.

Thanks for the help, Brett

think i may of found part of the problem checked the oil tonight and its about a quart to full hopefully nothing got messed up.

Before I changed the cam I was getting 16mpg around town filling up when gauge reads half tank. I lost 1mpg going to the 4.10s from 3.42s.

I got 24.5mpg on the highway with my 4.10'a running 80+ mph.

If you get on it around town, it will really hurt gas mileage.

well i cleaned out the pcv today it was pretty grimey and emptied about a quart and a half of oil out to get it to the fill line, and put some lucas fuel treatment in it, we'll see what happens it seems to be running better but still has a slight hesitation at idle every like 3 or 4 seconds. the passenger cat is still kinda rattling but faintly. Im hoping its just clogged from the previous owner havin too much oil in the engine. i guess ill find out after i put my header and ory on this weekend. I averaged it when i filled up today when i put in 11.8 gallons and had driven 144 miles mostly city but about 60 highway came out to about 12.2 mpg average

I would be concerned about damage. 7 quarts of oil is alot in there.

I am pretty concerned but the car seems to not be making and weird noises or anything and the oil looked brand new so I'm hoping it wasn't like that for too many miles

Replace the following imo.

Fuel Filter
Air Filter
Plugs/Wires
Clean your maf/throttle body
Get some mopar combustion chamber cleaner and clean that intake out!!

I was getting under 200 miles per tank and after doing all of the above I'm getting well over 200 per tank now.

I was actually referring to my LS1 WS6, but I also did the same to my LT1 to be on the safe side. Both cars getting an average of around 18-20 mpg.

It's not your gears. When I swapped to 4:10s I didn't even lose 1 whole mpg.

well i'm at 1/2 a tank and went 110 miles which is better than before but still not to good, that is all city driving though and running cold most of the time since i work and go to school only a few miles from my house. I just sprayed in the combustion cleaner and i'm gonna let it sit for about 2 hours maybe more.

I have a few questions in reference to what I have seen posted on here.

1. What could go wrong if you put too much oil in your engine?

2. I have 2.73's, with my A4 I get about 15-17 in the city, and 25-27 on the highway. If I got 3.23's or 3.42's what would I be looking at?

110 miles to a half tank? God that's awful. I suppose it depends, do you do mostly city or highway driving, or a 50/50 combination?

I do 60% highway and 40% city driving, I get 150-160 miles to a half tank with my A4. But then I also have 2.73's.

from what i understand too much oil can cause blown seals and and too much air in the oil causing not enough lubrication, fouled plugs and clogged cats im sure theres a lot more. And also that 110 to a half a talk was 100% city next time i fill up ill do the math on my mpg's but the last time it was barely 11 mpg with 50% city and 50% hwy which is terrible

Well 110 miles if it's all stop and go city driving isn't too bad, considering you do have 4.11's. But with an M6 I still think you should be doing a little bit better than that. I guess it really depends on how you drive it, just don't let get the RPM's get too high if you want to see what kind of gas mileage it's really capable of.
