Blew my 10 bolt, so lost now!!
It was bound to happen having 408rwhp on the 10 bolt so I am not that surprised. But now I dont know what rear end to get.
I need something affordable, but still quality. I was also curious if a new rear end/gears will throw off my speedometer or odometer, and if i will need a different tune.
I am pretty stressed/pissed so thanks for any help guys!

depends on if you are m6 or a4...if m6 definitely a 9", could do s60 if you arent worried about the extra weight. A4, can do a 12 bolt (what I did), but can cause some whine after some hard launches or just go with the 9". Regardless, I would upgrade the rear to something stronger than the stock 10 bolt

Here is the rear that I feel is your best one to buy, based off your hp. Price is shipped to your door.
A gear ratio different from what your 10 bolt has will throw off the speedometer and odometer. This can be corrected with a Hypertech programmer or something similar, or with a tune. A mail order tune may be your cheapest route to go.

I have a lot of info at this link that may help you out.

Here are the installation instructions so you can see what is involved.
Let me know if you have any questions. These rears ship out two days after the order is received. Bob

The 9's are really nice and the sponsers here have some good deals, but I went with the S60 and am very happy. There is a bit of extra weight (10-20#), but what better place than over the rear tires and there is no noise and it is bulletproof. Shop around!
