The Torsen was alleged to never need rebuilding, because
it works by binding metal and not frictions. But I found a
lot of that metal at the bottom of the pumpkin, and as
tolerances get bigger I bet the effectiveness gets less.

Now a lot of people think their Torsen is bad just because
they get a one-wheel peel. But that's the nature of the
piece and its low bias limit, to some extent.

Jimmy is right, it will not act like a spool. You can still one wheel peel with it at times. But, in a relative straight line it should leave two almost identical blackmarks from my experience.

well i was jw because i had it on a lift and spun one tire and the other barely moved lol. it does seem to do good burnouts tho. my neighbors probably hate me by now . no big deal i wasnt planning on spending money on a new one, just fix it til i get a new rearend next yr. would it help if i ran no limited slip additive fluid in the rearend? just regular gear oil. this is my spring/summer car btw.

Yes they act similar to open diffs when the tires are in the air.

My torsen acted funny sometimes at the track. I'd get a one wheel peel when heating up the tires. I found sitting in the water box holding the breaks apply light gas then releasing brakes with line lock on then hammering it got both wheels going..
