Default New or Used Rear end?

Im looking to buy a New or used center section and axles for my 99 Formula its a A4 all my mods are in my sig. i wanna get this done before i start adding more power, rather do it now then brake something. Can any give me some info or a thread i can read up on, i really dont know anything about rear ends and what i should be looking for. Id like to keep my ABS and no Traction control and 4.10 gears.
Thanks

you should probably go with a 9 inch ford, they weigh about the same as a 10 bolt and virtually indestructable and alot of parts for them are cheap because they are so plentyful

I recommend a moser 12 bolt or 9 inch. I have a moser 12 bolt with 3.73 gears and it has all provisions for abs and traction control. A 10 bolt will hold up on the street to a little added power but if you ever add sticky tires and go to the track I'd swap the rearend out for a stronger one.

the moser rear weighs more then a stock gm 10 bolt.you can find a nice use 12 bolt or 9" in the used part section for under $2000 + shipping.
