cars finished finally but rear is still real noisy. Cliff notes.. outer pinion bearing failed on highway. Dropped rear and replaced both pinion bearings.
When I put it back together backlash was almost .050. I put it all back as it was set up from strange. I adjusted back lash back to specs. Ended up with .009. Is it possible the bearings slowly failed and ruined my gears ? It was noisy from day 1 but now the howling is crazy. Only on accelertion and cruise if that matters. If my foots not touching the gas its dead quiet. I really don't wanna tear it apart. It's been down for 15 months for various things and life getting in the way.

You only have two choices. Tear it apart or listen to the noise until it blows up. First thing is NOT to drive it unless you decide to listen to the noise. It will only make things worse.
