I got three qts and 2 bottles of GM additive. How much will the housing take, 2 qtrs of oil and 1 additive?

Fill it until it starts to run out of the fill hole.

Do you guys put anything on the threads for the vent hose, where it threads into the axle tube...thread tape or anything? Should I fill the housing with oil before we install it or after?

I didn't put anything, just made sure that it was a snug fit. Also, it's easier to fill when it's out but that'll make it heavier to lug around while putting it in lol. I filled mine after it was in no big deal.

I assume you should feel oil if you stick your finger in the upper cover hole or should it only be to the lower (smaller) hole http://www.moserengineering.com/othe...lt-gm-car.html Just parked my car on a very slight uphill slant and oil leaked out of my diff. Cover bolts don't seem lose, maybe gastket bad, but out of nowehere, puddel. Not drip before that. Seems odd. Sorry for the highjack

Unless you have a large aftermarket cover, it will be two bottles plus one of the posi additive (if needed)

how much did it take? Mine must have been overfilled, I loosened the lower drain plug and it started to come out which I think means full??
