Default New 9" Going In

So I dropped my 10 bolt tonight finally. I've never messed with one of these rear ends and it only took me about 30 minutes to pull the axles and driveshaft so I could take them to RPM were they pressed the bearings onto my axles and removed the old ujoint. Once I made it home it took me about another hour to remove the housing. I will be receiving my new housing tomorrow and I am going to paint it with some Eastwood Chassis Black I have laying around. I'll probably end up waiting until Wednesday to put it under the car.

It really wasn't the challenge I was expecting.

I am now dead in the water, however, while I wait for new hardware. The hardware that came with the housing was not quality stuff, so they are sending me more; which means I am forced to wait until Friday or Saturday to finish.

Looks good. Have you tried to pull the studs for the third member through the housing? When I did I stripped two of them without much force. QP said that I received bad hardware and they are sending me more. I am upset about it though because I had a tuning session scheduled for Friday that I had to cancel, and now my car is another week out from being done.

No, I had the 10 bolt in there that I took out. I changed my sig when I ordered the 9" because I was excited.

Quick Performance was awesome and overnighted me better hardware that I received today. I then proceeded to install the new rear end. It took me about 4 hours to get to where I'm at now, about 98% done. I will take some pics tomorrow of the new rear.

Here it is under the car. I scratched it up a bit putting it in so I have some more sanding and painting to do. I have not bought clamps for the rear swaybar yet but I will be doing that later today.
