Default Strange 12 bolt U-Joint/pinion yoke question

Hey guys bought a used strange 12 bolt to finish up my build, oddly the pinion yoke is a 1310.. they come from strange with 1350 correct? will this 1310 hold at my power range? (~500rwhp motor and ~700-750rwhp on spray) i did a search for power ratings and didnt come up with anything. the driveshaft i got with it is 1350 on the slip yoke end and 1310 on the pinion side. any input? thanks!!!

I'd upgrade to the bigger size if it was me. And yes Strange should come with 1350.

I wonder why someone would change the yoke size.. Oh well.. Guess I'll build a new driveshaft if it comes down to it.. May just use the one I have for now, if it gives me problems I'll get it built then..

You can order a forged 1350 yoke for around $100.

I would fix it now before it breaks and causes a whole lot more damage. A 1310 with that much power is a ticking time bomb.

I broke one going through the traps and it took out both my transmission tail shaft housing and differential pinion yoke, carved a huge gash in my floor pan and destroyed the driveshaft. This was with the required NHRA driveshaft loop too. I was really lucky the trans fluid didn't get on my tires and put me into the wall or even worse the other lane.

It ripped the 1310 U-joint main body center section right out of the caps leaving the stub ends of the center cross section in the caps still bolted to the pinion yoke.

A little money spent now could save you much more down the road.
