Default 4.10 gears with 17 or 18 inch wheels

So, my 01 m6 has 4.10's right now with 315/35/17 out back. I was wondering if i should swap to 18" wheels for more top end mph or should i stick with 17" wheels. My wheels measured 25.1" tall.

So in other words, 3.90 with 17" combo or 18" with 4.10's?

ooops ... wheel size has nothing to do with top end mph or gear ratio ... it is the overall tire o.d. (outside diameter). Look for different size tires, not necessarily different size wheels.

Like was said, its tire height, not wheel height.. And remember, when you start messing with tire heights, it will start messing with your ABS (if you have it)
