Default S60 Break in procedure

I have my S60 in the garage waiting to be put in. Hopefully this week.

Does anyone know what the official break in procedure is?

Thanks

My buddy just installed one. I think his break in was normal easy street driving for 300-500 miles, no WOT, IIRC

No directions came with the axle? Might want to get on Strange website or call.

I spoke with Strange yesterday and this is the procedure they told me to follow.

1. Drive the car consistant at 45mph at 40-45 minutes. (Get worst machine mark off from gears)
2. Let the car sit for 1 hour (let it cool down)
3. Drive the car consistant at 45mph at another 40-45 minutes.
4. Let the car sit for 1 hour
5. Then you can drive the car consistant without letting it cool down. Drive it normally 200-250 miles (cruising). (this is lapping the gears in during normal driving)
6. After 1000 miles remove the plug and drain the oil and replace
6.Optional-drain the oil-remove the rear cover and take some brake cleaner and a rag and wipe the inside out. Put cover back on with new gasket and refill with oil.
7. Break in procedure complete

Part number for the gaskets: Strange D3508/Felpro RDS 6095-1

Also to mention is the Grease zerks on the housing end. This is for the wheel bearings. You do not have to touch these. Maybe in 3 years put 1-2 squirts of grease in. Thats it. He said he has see guys squirt alot of grease in and it fills the axel housing full of grease.

Hope this helps for anyone that is purchasing a new Strange S60.

45mph for 40-45 minutes twice....that really sucks lol. I don't even know where I would do that in my area. It would either mean going under the speed limit or over it. There is only 1 area I can think of that is 45mph zone and it's only a couple miles long with like 4 traffic lights that I always catch red haha
