Default What gears you running in 1/8th mile...

Went to the track last night without my car, and I got the itch now. I am thinking about putting the 9 inch back in and tacking her to the track. The closest track we have is only 1/8th mile. The 9 has a 3.89 in it now. I am thinking 4.10 or 4.30. This would be on some MT 315 drag radials pretty much stock size tires. May even put a spool in it!

What trans are you running? Is this a street car? What kind of power are you making? Engine modes? What is the tire size you are wanting to go with? Are you wanting to set this up ideally for track use, or for street use?

6 speed, street car that I would like to take to the track every once and a while, stock LS1 with headers and Y pipe GMMG, the more I think about it 4.10's may be all I want to put in it.

4.10's are a common option for m6 cars. I have 4.56's in mine, and love them. My car isn't a daily driver but I don't think I would have much of a problem driving it with that setup. If you want to be on the safe side, stick with 4.10's. You won't regret them.

My car is not a daily driver, it sits in my garage and may come out once a week for a drive to work. Mainly just get it out on the weekends. I think I would enjoy taking it to the track every once and a while.
