Loud Rear end. Im new to the whole a4 cars and recently drove a stock 98 Trans Am. There was a loud sound comming from the back of the car that sounds alot like the rear end on my m6 car right now, ripped to shreads..... How likley is it in a stock a4 f-body with 68000 miles to kill the rear end. It basicly sounds like your running on 33" mud tires. If its not the rear... any suggestions on what it could possibly be?

It probably is the rear end. I have 50,000 miles on my car, and am on my third rear end.
If it sounds like it's coming from the rear of the car, I believe you are right.
