Question Should I replace my axle bearings?

My car got an inspection and they told me my rear axle bearings had some 'slack' in it(wheel movement) and needed replacement. I know there is a normal wheel movement with diff but he said there was more than usual.

I dont hear/feel anything wrong while driving.

Question is; is it worth the trouble to have it apart just to check it out/change it??

Do I risk damaging the axles?

My rear was rebuilt 2 weeks ago...

The shop is a good one that rebuilt my old LS1 5 years ago.

This is weird cause they didnt have nothing to win in this situation cause the car was inspected for a possible sale that didnt happen after the crank/trans seal leak AND wheel bearing slack they found...

They did offer the buyer to do the job though...

Funny part is that the ''buyer'' was going crazy with the rear axle bearing stuff; he inspected the wheel slack for 30mins after that!! He didnt buy the car 99% because of this. I told him he should not buy a heavily modded car if he cant handle a bearing replacement! LOL

Seems to me that if their was enough slack in the rear axle bearings .
It would make a hellva noise and you would have a couple leaky axle seals...

Rear axle bearings ????
Up and down slack or in and out ??
The axles do have a little in/ out play but that should be it
Not a common problem .

The ''buyer'' told me he saw my rear right wheel was almost at 45degrees of angle while on the highway hahahah I told him its physically impossible..

I could check my seals by inspecting whats behind the brakes to be sure there is no leak...

Would be more like up/down; by pressing the bottom/pulling the upper side of the wheel on a lift, there is some slack..if that makes any sense!!??
