I recently installed a moser 9 inch in the car with 4.30 gear spool and 35 spline axels. I noticed that I now have a vibration around 55 or so and idk what it is from the car also has a 3inch steel ds that is stock length. Does anyone know possibilities cuz idk what it could be since I didn't have a vibration before the nine inch install.

I have the same problem and this is what's wrong in my case. Long story short our cars are hub centric. The stock axels have about 2" sticking out past the hub to center the rims properly. My axles are almost flush with the hub which causes the rim to not center properly.

Maybe your driveline angle is off. I was battling a vibe at highway speeds for years. Once I made the rear pinion parallel to the output shaft of the trans. my vibes went away. Just a suggestion.

Already did that. It's set at -1.5 so at WOT it straightens out. Still didn't fix problem. From what I can deduce I think my clutch assembly has gone out of balance or the flywheel is cracked

Sorry, I didn't see the thread earlier. Put the rear of the car in the air, load the suspension, and have someone hold the throttle at the speed where the vibrations start. Watch the lip of the rim to see if it wobbles. If it does it means the rims are not centering correctly.

I just noticed you said you have a stock length driveshaft. With the moser 9 in. you need a driveshaft that is 1 in. longer so it slides into the trans further. This could be your problem and hopefully it didn't wipe out the tailshaft bushing from being to short. You should only be able to see about an inch of driveshaft yoke sticking out of the trans. if its the right length.

I also have a vibration at 60 or so with my 35 spline n spooled moser! At 100 you can get a hand massage and rear view mirror shakes!! Wtf

Set your pinion angle to zero and see if it fixes it. I used a carpenters square on the balancer with a craftsman digital torpedo level to get the trans angle. Then used the same level on the pinion itself (drop the driveshaft) to set them equal...what I thought was no vibration was turned into smoother than stock.

same here with the quick performance 9", same housing as moser though, i got a longer driveshaft but my fear is i ran the stock driveshaft too long while it was vibrating, could have wiped the bushing out as the tailshaft does seem to have some play to it now, however i did adjust the pinion angle up some and it did help but still vibrates some
