A complete Ratech bearing kit and a Motive ring and pinion gear is about $300. Labor cost me $175. I had a brand new Zelex posi I picked up from SLP back when they were getting rid of inventory in 2003. I paid $98 for it.

Be prepared to get lots of responses telling you that it is a mistake to rebuild a Camaro 10 bolt.

But if you have between 50k and 150k on the current 10 bolt and you haven't broken it yet based on your driving style and plan to continue driving the car the same way IMO rebuild it and spend the difference it would cost to replace it with a Moser or Strange for mods, tires, exhaust etc.

I added the LPW brace kit, which has to be added to the cost above.

ring and pinion should be ok still i just did the bearing maybe 10 k ago. the rear end makes the most noise doing corners so im 90% sure its the diff and the limited slip part. I did do the the cover with the supports

When the pinion bearing went out on mine, still under warranty, it sounded terrible when turning.

But the clutches when they grab when turning corners can sound terrible too. Adding posi fluid sometimes will make it go away.

I would drain the oil and add new gear oil, making sure to add the lubricant required for an auburn. My Zelex doesn't required the posi additive.

You should be able to pick up a used Auburn pretty cheap since you can usually get a complete used 10 bolt for around $300 or so.
