Post Rear-End Slack Diagnose (Video)

Hello!

I had a lot of "slack" in the stock gears, so I upgraded to 4.10 about a year ago. It didn't have this much slack right after the install. I only drove about 40 miles since then.

Please diagnose.. How severe is this? I remember i had some trouble with the crush-sleeve and pinion-nut during the assembly.. Could that be the cause of this or do i need to take it apart and re-shim?

Thanks!

the torsen play occurs between the ring gear and the axle shafts internally in the torsen unit. the play in the video is beween the pinion gear and the ring gear.

I would start by checking that the pinion preload and backlash are within spec.

I would pull the cover and check backlash on the ring gear. You don't check it from the front so it can be deceiving from that video.
