Default Moser 12 w/ Eaton posi...synthetic or non?

So i'm going to have my gears swapped out in my Moser 12 Bolt which has the heavy duty Eaton posi...i ordered 3qts. of Redline fluid from Thunder when i ordered the gears
While on the phone with Thunder, i inquired about it and they said it's al they use

What does everyone think?
Redline? or Normal non-synthetic rear fluid?
What about during breaking in the gears?

Thanks!

I've also been told non-synth only.

Also on a side note, I've only had my rear 6 days, but does anyone else's make clunks going around sharp turns? Someone told me it was the Eaton HD locking and unlocking? Sorry to interrupt...

mine does that clunking noise and they said the same thing as they told you! I only put 1 bottle of LSD add. I have heard you need to add 2 bottles of the LSD additive, not one like the stock rear, but use non-syn. fluid just think void warrenty!!

Whatever is in it I think is what Moser put in it when they sent it. Though now that I think about it, its whatever Eastside put in there. Hmm, I'm probably going to have to go buy some of the friction modifier.

The rears get sent with no oil in them.

I spoke to the rep at eaton powertrain he recomended non synthetic for their posi unit
for maximum clutch performance. He said they had tested synthetic and that it would not hurt the posi unit, but the clutch pack performance will not be optimum.I used richmond gl6 synthetic in mine since I was having cronic gear failures and noticed no
loss in posi performance.
