I've been searching for a write up on building an 8.8 from a ranger.. A lot of what I've found is either way too vague for what I know about rears, gears, and posi (not very much) but mainly what I'm looking for is something that goes fairly in depth with explanation

I'm just looking for a beefier differential with posi and 373's for as cheap as I can build it

Maybe you guys can help me out

Putting an 8.8 into an F-body isn't a novice-level project. It requires some design work, fabrication, welding, machining, etc. Keeping searching this section and you'll find lots of info. Check out my build thread here.

I'm not afraid of fabricating and welding.. Just hoping I'd get a little more info on What goes where
