After putting my 3.73 gears in and getting LG to tune for the gear upgrade and cam upgrade my car doesnt shift down like it used to. On the highway the car wont shift down into 2nd like it used to at any speed. By the way THE STOCK CONVERTER IS BEING USED

when i installed my 373 gears in my 1999 z28 from 273 gears the speed to catch was differnt first gear caught strong at 25mph,2nd gear caught 45-55 mph,and third was a monster at 90mph

So at lets say 60-70 will yours shift down into 2nd? Mine seems to shift exactly as you have said. At around 60-70 my car shifts into 3rd and pulls okay until the rpms rev up, so a stock car beside me at a 70mph roll on just leaves me until i finally catch up.... sound right??

alright guys
the engine will be at ~3800rpm
(a nice spot to downshift to)
at 25mph in first gear
at 48mph in second
and 78mph in third.

if your car dont wanna go into first at 25mph
PUT IT THERE
or you can baby your tranny and get smoked, up to you.

as far as those bitch gears mentioned, the 2.73 grannies,
(my previous gears)
i think it would grab well at 35-38mph in first
and around 70mph in second!!!
thats one hell of a dead spot, huh?

okay feel a little better now..... it will shift down into first on its own at around 25 but i have no problem manually shifting down into first but i dont seem to shift it out fast enough to stop it from bangin the rev limiter.

I had to adjust my downshift points when I went to 3.73s. Just changing the gear ratio wasn't enough.
