Default Lpw axle tube brace for the ten bolt

First I do not want to hear about upgrading to a 12 bolt or 9 inch or how many 10 bolts you broke I don't care. I wanna know the results of how this modification and if it worked or not, and all that you did to your ten bolt to get to the point your at. I seen that people do it but no results yet and that's what I'm wanting to hear. So?

nothing will help a 10 bolt. every one ive broke has broke the ring and pinion there is nothing you can do about an undersized ring and pinion except upgrade it to a aftermarket rearend.

There was one guy with a thirdgen. His car was 600+ rwhp IIRC. Lasted for a long time. Still was working when it was pulled for a 9 in. I'm planning on doing the same thing when this whole issue with my wife's truck blows over.

Duh I was reading that thread and hoping someone else has the same results. Cantfind2nd obviously you can't read, I don't care about your "opinion" with ten bolts or what you experienced. From what I'm reading this actually will really help with autos. manuals how ever are screwed and need to upgrade. Please post with info of what I'm asking for thanks

That's what I'm going to do but you have to buy the girdle as well. When it's installed I will run and launch at 3k then 4k on drag radials. I will update this posted when finished. Others experiences are still wanted

Since I have personally witnessed a 10bolt running 9's on spray, I'm building mine similarly with the addition of the low brace. Seeing a thirdgen with a 406 spray off the line and the rear hold up is more than enough proof for me. Hopefully by spring I'll have the funds for the rearend

You've seen a 10-bolt running 9's in what platform? 4th gen F-body with a torque arm, or something else?

Thirdgen fbody with a tq arm on drag radials. Full weight minus a/c. Did it with an auburn posi. Even had a th350 with a brake in it. Switched to a 9" when he bought another car that had one in it. But the rearend had plenty of life in it. It's still under that other car to the best of my knowledge. I firmly believe its more in the setup than most people think.

sounds just like my story 3rd gen 10 bolt went a 9.8x with a 406 leaving the line on the n2o and on the brake was working fine when pulled for a 9" that was in a car i bought

I just read the thread. I liked how one guy said a 12bolt is overkill for the street.

How many times did it go 9.8X?

10 bolt is a ticking time bomb yeah might last a couple 9.x passes but still tick tick tick.

Funny, the car I watched had a 406 in it as well. Car was a 92 Z that my buddy owned, sold, and now one of our other friends owns it. Car had a solid roller 406 with Dart Pro1 heads, and an under the manifold N2O kit with a Mini-Ram. When we finally put subframe connectors on the car we thought the rear would explode and it ended up destroying the 700R4, so it got a TH350 with a brake. Car pulled 1.5x 60' times without a problem. Rear lasted for a long time, then he bought a car with a 9" in it and swapped them, then sold the other car with his 10 bolt in it....still wasn't making a sound and that car got pounded on at the track and on the street. That rear didn't have the LPW brace on it either. Needless to say we will be doing my 10 bolt when the time comes.

Weld the tubes in======Buy the LPW ultimate girdle and the brace and on an auto it can live for a long time or spend $2500.00 for an upgrade. It can explode but so can the good ones. The 10bolt in a auto car can live with some upgrades. Might put some axles in it too.
Buddy of mine has a bottom 10 second car he runs the crap out of and the console is full of timeslips from track passes on sticky tires and it has a stock 10 bolt in it.

I'm slowly putting parts together to do my rear, in the mean time I'm running my stock 10 bolt. I also have m/t drag radials that go on the car for the track as well. FLT started work on my trans so, measly 1.9x 60's will be a thing of the past.
