Torsen rear end?
Hello everybody, I just swapped a rear end from a 98 camaro z28 six speed with the torsen unit and when it is in park with the rear wheels off the ground I can still rotate the axle. Is this normal, i still have the rear of the car in the air just in case so i can return it to the junk yard before 30 days? I was thinking that when i put it on the ground it wont roll because both axles spin in different directions. I am just concerned because my old rear was an auburn and it didnt spin freely when in park.

The Torsen will act like a standard differential when unloaded. Wheels up in park they will turn in opposite directions. There are no clutches or cones to provide resistance, it is done by friction of the worm gears against the case but only under acceleration load. Under decal or in the air there is no friction.
