Default Help!

i have a 99 camaro z28, i bought it knowing the axle was bad. im having a real hard time finding one. the cheapest one i can find is 600 bucks. i recently found a posi rearend out of a third gen camaro. will it bolt right up and can i use the same calipers i have now and will the parking brake work? what are the ups and downs? thanks

Location? Bad axle or entire rear is bad? I bought a complete four channel SS rear with brakes/sensors/sway off craigslist for $150 recently.

I live in Maine. I'm pretty sure that it cant be fixed. ive called about every junkyard in the state. the cheapest one i came up with that is an exact replacement is 600 bucks...

Is the 99 Z28 a ABS only(3 channel) or ABS & TC (traction control) (4 channel) ? That'll determine what you need in that aspect.
Also A4 or M6 ? A4s' had 2.73(GU2) standard and 3.23(GU5) optional,M6s' had 3.42(GU6).

i believe its got abs and trac control. i also believe 3.23. but not exactly how to tell?

i just popped the cover off, and i checked out the gears and everything seems to look fine. maybe i just need a housing? or is this one fixable?

I live in NH. I have a set of 4 channel axles, no reluctors, 28k miles. I will give them to you if you really just need axles and not the whole rear. Pm if interested.

Sorry, just looked at the pic. You need an entire rear.

haha yeah i need the whole rear. i found one in mass for 300 bucks. everyone i could find in maine was 600-900 bucks...
