Default Recalibrating the speedo

Just had my moser 12 bolt with 4.10s installed today and it whines like a mother! Anyway my speedometer is way off and i was wondering whats involved in recalibrating it? Im a relative newb to this and can I do it myself or should my shop do it?

You will need a hypertech hpp3, LS1edit, preditor, HP tuner, tech II or an SLP speedo recalibrator, If you plan on doing more mods to your car bite the bullet and spend the 4-500.00 on the HP tuner or LS1edit software. If anyone in your area does ls1edit tuning you can probably get the speedo changed pretty cheap, a used HPP3 would probbaly be the cheapest and easiest but they are very limited on what they can do compared to the better PCM programming packages.

So Gm's tech 2 can be used to recalibrate the speedo?

As far as I know, not 100% sure if it can do 4.10s though or just available ratios (2.73,3.23.,3.42), wish I had one laying around to try it with
