Default missing axle vent tube

Has anyone discovered a missing axle vent tube on their housing? I have been trouble shooting some rear end noise, and I saw that there is a hole on the pumpkin, but no tube or anything. I don't know if it fell off or what happened. I have done a google search, searched gm part sites, ebay, and don't see anything or any part numbers. Any one have suggestions for finding an original piece for a 2001 t/a?

*UPDATE:

I ran into the following thread after googleing some more, but was in the wrong forum.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...vent-plug.html

I also called a dealership and 1236317 is the correct part number for the rear axle vent.

Does anyone know the exact location for the vent? I have an annoying leak that I am sure is due to a missing vent...especially since I can't find one anywhere...or even a location for one. 2001 T/A, 3 channel.

The vent hole is on the top of the center housing on the same side as the fill hole.

Thanks for the information. I dug out my light and mirror and sure enough...there is a nice hole there. No vent. Perfect. Now I get to pull it apart and clean it out. Hole faces forward, so it has been getting any water, debris, etc that gets kicked up.

I think I'll tap the hole for a fitting so I can attach a hose and remote mount the vent higher.
